THE BRIEFING

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW.

  • We’re preparing to publicly launch Fall 2027. But Mayday isn’t waiting until launch day. Along the way, you’ll see MD Socials, MD Nights, The Fold, and other opportunities to gather, serve the community, and build together.


    Join the launch team and/or sign up to stay in the loop!

  • Our heart is Greenville, NC, with a particular focus on downtown. We’re currently looking for the right launch location—somewhere accessible, flexible, and in the heart of the community we’re called to serve. The building isn’t the mission. The people are.

  • We’re not doing this alone. We’re currently working with Carolina Movement as church planters, and will have completed a residency by summer of 2027. We’re also working with Stadia through coaching and development. And we’re building relationships with local churches, nonprofits, businesses, and community partners.

  • Absolutely! We want Mayday to be a church where the whole family can grow with Jesus. We’re developing safe, engaging, and fun environments for kids!

    As Mayday grows, we plan to build intentional ministry for students and young people alike. We’re not looking to entertain the next generation—we want to raise, release, and launch them.

  • You don’t have to wait until launch Sunday! You can PRAY, GIVE, SHARE, PARTNER, and/or join the LAUNCH TEAM. Help build Mayday from the ground up. Whether you’re ready to jump in or simply want to learn more, there’s room to take a next step.

Jerel and Karen believe two things— before they’re leaders or anything else, they’re simply JUST a son & daughter of God, and were rescued from where they were, to help others where they are.

WHY the
name MAYDAY?

MAYDAY IS THE INTERNATIONAL DISTRESS SIGNAL for help.
IT COMES FROM THE FRENCH PHRASE “venez m'aider”,
meaning, "come help me".

why does this matter?

because on the other side of help, is hope. and that hope—is jesus.
